From Monday 06 July to Sunday 12 July 2026, schools across the UK will come together for National School Sports Week. Powered by Sports Direct, this year’s campaign is all about celebrating joyful movement, building healthy habits, and helping students find their rhythm through everything from playground games to structured PE.

Backed by National School Sports Week Ambassador Conor Benn, the campaign focuses on boosting fitness, confidence, and mindset. It is fully aligned with the Chief Medical Officers’ recommendation that young people get 60 active minutes a day.

Signing up is completely free and instantly connects your school to a nationwide celebration of PE, sport, and play. By registering, your school will unlock:

If your school breaks up for summer before the official 06–12 July dates, you can still fully participate!

Head over to the Youth Sport Trust website to complete your registration, stream the official National School Sports Week 2026 Hero Film to inspire your staff and students, and download your toolkits.
